Matty Keegs, Could be better. Admittedly, I'm a console guy before PC. Back when Doom 3 was released for the Xbox, it quickly jumped into my heart as one of my favorite games. So when I saw this version on the App Store for $9.99, I thought it was a steal. Now despite my inability with the keyboard and mouse, the game has some inherent flaws. Most notably, my weapons tend to switch themselves, without me ever pressing a button. At first I thought it was my keyboard dying, so I switched the batteries, but it turns out that's not the case, it still happens.

Hopefully, this is rectified soon, as it is an extremely frustrating glitch. Now with the bad out of the way let me get to the good. This is easily the best this game has ever looked, the sound is spot on, all the effects you remember are in the game. On top of all this, this is the PC version of the game so there are a few extra hallways and areas that weren't in the console version of the game.

Don't expect anything along the lines of extra levels, just extra environment features that weren't in the original console release. All and all for $10 you really can't beat this.

I'm hoping a patch comes out for the weapon glitch soon, as I would have loved to have given this a 5. Definitely worth a look though. Matty Keegs, Could be better.

I did some digging online and found out that a lot of games from this developer are having issues with El Capitan. I had to dig even further to find out that to get the game to work I had to switch off my internet connection. I have no idea why, but I was willing to give anything a shot at this point.

Sure enough, when I disconnected my wifi the game started and performed great. Why did I have to do that? Does that mean no more multiplayer?

Didn’t these guys get the beta testing for the new opperating system? There is also no controller support. To be fair, there was nothing in the description that said there would be, but any first person shooter that doesn’t at least have the option makes it harder for gamers like me who prefer a gamepad to the mouse and keyboard.
