The Matrox GXM is capable of the 5760x1080 resolution and I'd hope that my 6750M would be powerful enough to run this resolution.

I suspect the problem lies within the Apple driver for this specific card as other MBPs are capable of running the full resolution. My next attempt is to put bootcamp on the MBP and see if I can find a Windows driver for the 6750M. Any suggestions are welcome. Not much luck for MBP I have digital version and MBP with Retina Display (2012) technically you can only get 1600 x 900 x 3 @60 According to technical specification, the highest resolutions are off ordinary refresh rates. 5040 x 1050 (3 x 1680 x 1050) 2 58Hz 5760 x 1080 (3 x 1920 x 1080) 2 50Hz means you need something 50hz with 1920 x 1080 support and this is most likely TV screens, not PC monitors. And usually the TVs don't have 1920x1080 support unless connected via HDMI cables (correct me if recent TVs do) Somehow it only support 1360 x 768 x 3 on mine too. It should support 1600 x 900 x 3 @60 at least by their technical specifications. Does anyone know why? Anyway 3 TV screens would be out of budget for most of us and to be honest 3 x 1920 x 1080 is yes doable on Macbook pro but 'Gaming' is totally different story.

I have GT 650M on my laptop (well, GPUs on laptops usually a lot worse than you expect by its 'numbers') and still struggling to run 3 x 1280 x 1024 at good quality setting (not the highest).
